ChangeUp is a group dedicated to fostering relationships and sponsorships for women in business. Too often we feel as women that we can’t ask for help, or when we can, that we have no one to turn to. If we ever want to see as many (or more) women as men in positions of power, we have to start advocating for one another in our everyday lives.
ChangeUp is a place for that advocation to occur. In my experience, any time women get together and are asked about their experience as females in business, a wealth of information and ideas are shared. But it doesn’t happen enough. We need to create a powerful network of women who we can turn to for advice and as support when we are trying to change the status quo. And we need to keep the conversation going.
Because I believe that the only way for this group to succeed is to listen to one another, I have decided to kick off the inception by inviting you to share your ideas about your needs in your career path at an informal roundtable. By drawing women from all over the business sphere to discuss their issues, we are starting a conversation and establishing relationships so that we can be agents of change not only in our industries, but in business in general.
